Cultural Framework
Lung Foundation
CCC was engaged by Lung Foundation Australia to co-design a Cultural Safety Framework for the national Lung Learning Hub. Aligned with the organisation’s Reconciliation Action Plan, the framework establishes a rigorous endorsement process to ensure primary care professional development activities are culturally safe and accessible for First Nations and CALD learners.
How?
Using interactive Miro virtual workshops, CCC brought together key stakeholders to establish the framework's core guiding principles. To ensure authentic, expert-led co-design, we established and led a Technical Advisory Group comprising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers, Health Practitioners, and peak industry bodies.

Program Transition
Brotherhood of St Laurence
CCC was engaged as an independent facilitator to lead culturally safe engagements across 15 First Nations-focused HIPPY sites nationally. Aligned with Priority Reform Two of Closing the Gap, the project focused on determining community interest, assessing risks, and shaping a clear, supported pathway to transition the early childhood program to Aboriginal Community Control.
How?
Led entirely by First Nations consultants and supported by local site Navigators, CCC designed and delivered a highly flexible, culturally safe consultation model. Working closely with HIPPY Australia, we navigated sensitive discussions with vulnerable stakeholders, adapting seamlessly to complex remote logistics, weather events, and local cultural protocols across 14 in-person site visits.

National Strategic Synthesis
CDP Reform & RJED Program Co-Design
National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA)
CCC was contracted by the NIAA across two phases to lead national stakeholder engagement and consultation for the reform of the Community Development Program (CDP). This work directly informed the design of the Remote Jobs and Economic Development (RJED) Program—a major national initiative created to replace CDP across Australia.
How?
CCC designed and delivered a culturally responsive, place-based engagement strategy spanning in-person, online, and hybrid formats. Built on yarning circles and consistent data collection, our multidisciplinary facilitators ensured community aspirations, local economic opportunities, and the recognition of unpaid work shaped the core principles of the new program.
