Certificate 1 in Work Preparation

Cross Cultural Consultants is proud to offer Certificate 1 in Workplace Preparation to industry groups seeking to engage indigenous staff. This incorporates our successful cross cultural training program Walking In Two Worlds. The Certificate 1 can be provided as a generic program or tailored to industry specific contexts including horticulture, mining, tourism and hospitality, and administration. It is a work-entry course which is designed specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.

Overview

Work by Culture (Certificate I in Work Preparation) is designed to support Indigenous job seekers to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to gain employment and perform effectively in a work environment.  The program is underpinned by an Indigenous focused learning philosophy. Work by Culture is organised into 18 topics which integrate the key competencies, elements and performance
criteria from three units of competency:

•        BSBCMN101A: Prepare for work;
•        BSBCMN103A: Apply basic communication skills;
•        CHCOHS201A: Follow OHS procedures.
