Cross Cultural Consultants' diverse team of development practitioners combine facilitation skills with technical, sector and culturally specific expertise working in:
- over 30 countries;
- all development sectors (Health, Education, Governance, Infrastructure, Environment, Gender, and Rural Development);
- Non-Government Organisations;
- The private sector; and
- at all levels of Government.

Phil Elsegood– Company Director Phil has managed and delivered capacity building training, grounded in cross cultural theory and validated regularly in lived experience and practical community development for over 20 years in Australia, Indonesia and Timor Leste. He brings a deep personal and professional understanding born of his own rich experiences in diverse Aboriginal cultures and networks. |

Jason Elsegood – CEO Jason has sound knowledge and practical experience applying community engagement and development principles in remote and indigenous Australia in Governance, Infrastructure, Education, Rural Development and SME projects. He is an experienced cross cultural mentor, project manager, team leader and tutor with an Honours and special interest in Indigenous Economic and Community development. |

John Jablonka – Training Manager John has designed, managed and delivered training in Australia, South East Asia and the Middle East on programs for volunteers, students, communities, governments and staff across all sectors. As a consultant facilitator with Governments and NGO’s in organisational development, he uses participatory planning, evaluation and learning methods to maximise outcomes for diverse teams. |
Deborah Hall– Trainer Deborah worked in Papua New Guinea as a teacher for 4 years and has worked in capacity building roles as an advocate, trainer, consultant, project manager and writer in a range of sectors including governance, health, education and environment. She has a special interest in multiple literacies in education programs. |

Stephen Williams - Trainer Stephen has extensive cross cultural experience living and working in international development and humanitarian emergency relief settings including Fiji, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, Iraq, Burma, Africa, and remote indigenous Australia. He has proven experience in the management of multiple contract compliance, human resource, administration and financial activities in complex program environments. Stephen's strong interest is in training and facilitation as tools for participatory capacity development. |
Brian Erickson - Senior Trainer Born in the USA, Brian has been embedded in cross cultural education, action research, community development and organisational capacity strengthening since migrating to Australia in 1971. He specialises in Indigenous community development, governance and cross cultural communication. He has lectured at Curtin University of Technology and Perth Metro College of TAFE, and has been a consultant for a large number of Aboriginal organisations undertaking business, enterprise, organisational, strategic and community development. Brian's sector experience in health, employment, housing, education, governance, culture and the arts has provided him with an extensive, network of remote, rural and urban community development practitioners and service providers. |

John Twyman–Information & Communications Technology John is an ICT professional with training and education experience in Tertiary and Government settings focused on capacity building, mentoring and skills sharing. John collaborates with people to develop E-Learning and Distance Education tools to enhance learning and development opportunities for his local and international counterparts in the Pacific and China. |

Miriam Lumb - Communications, Training, Business Development. Miriam's background in marketing and communications took her to Tonga in 2003-4 as an AYAD. Soon after she worked with Austraining as marketing and alumni coordinator on the AYAD Program. Later she was recruited by Cross Cultural Consultants as a consultant assisting with planning and delivery of cross cultural training and debriefing for volunteers. Miriam has worked as a contractor for SAGRIC and with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Consular Policy. She is currently a freelance consultant working on design and marketing with Cross Cultural Consultants and expanding her in-country experience in Latin America. |
Maxine Lequimener - Trainer Raised south of Townsville, Maxine’s heritage is that of the South Sea Islander people. After completing her study in Townsville Maxine spent several years working in the Hospitality and Tourism industry. She has traveled extensively into Europe, Asia and the Pacific Regions to extend her horizons and she believes that these experiences help her as a trainer. Maxine hopes that she can contribute to bridging the gap between Indigenous Australians and the western world. |
