Cross Cultural Consultants (CCC) has been operating since 1990 specialising in the delivery of training and consultancy services in the field of intercultural effectiveness, capacity building and community development.

The company operates with a core team and a network of associates with experience in hands-on capacity building, participatory learning and action at project, program and policy levels.

We take a collaborative and integrated approach and consider skills, gender, culture and context factors in building a team for a project.

Based in Darwin, and with associates around Australia, Cross Cultural Consultants provides its diverse clients - private sector companies, Governments, and NGO’s - with expert learning and development inputs to ensure people and systems operate effectively across cultures in a capacity building context, both in Australia and overseas.

We use a range of proven methodologies and practical tools, based on common sense and participatory approaches.

We provide our services across a wide range of sectors including health, education, governance, gender, energy, environment, transport, water & sanitation, agriculture and rural development.

What we do

  • Design and deliver a range of participatory learning programs and tools focused on understanding the role of culture in implementing development program.
  • Undertake evaluation and assessment activities to build the capacity of individuals, programs, projects and organisations to work effectively across cultures in a development context including social and cultural impact assessments and community engagement frameworks.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders in delivering inputs to development throughout the process from design through to final evaluation.
  • Train development practitioners in frameworks, strategies and tools for working effectively with counterparts across cultures to build capacity. We use a unique suite of current practical examples and tools that model best practice.
